Please follow the below steps to identify whether your pedals have been recalled and if so, initiate your Bontrager Satellite City pedal claim process on-line. Once submitted, Trek will process the claim, ship us replacement pedals and we will notify you of their arrival, so you can bring your bicycle in to have the replacement pedals installed. Bontrager Satellite City pedals are the only pedals included in this recall.

As indicated in Figure 2, the affected pedals have “ZTR02” molded onto the axle side of each pedal body.  If your pedals do not read "ZTR02" as indicated by the image below, your pedals are fine and you can go ride!  

If your pedals read "ZTR02", please fill out this form and we’ll be in touch when your replacement pedals arrive to get them installed.

If you are unsure whether your bicycle is equipped with these pedals, please take it to your local Trek retailer for a free inspection

Once claim is submitted, replacement pedals have been received from Trek and we have in stalled them, you will receive a in-store credit of $20 to use toward Trek or Bontrager merchandise. Credit is good through December 31, 2021, has no cash value and can be applied toward the purchase of Trek or Bontrager products only.

You can find the bike serial number on the underside of the bicycle frame, near the bottom bracket. Look for a sticker containing a barcode. This sticker will alsocontain a string of letters and numbers, many beginning with WTU.
