Giving Back

We are lucky to be a part of such an incredible community. To show our gratitude we enjoy giving back. Examples of our community involvement include The Breast Cancer Awareness Ride, Our Point to Pint Ride, The Tour de Cure and CNY DIRT.

The Breast Cancer Awareness Ride teams with the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Central New York to raise awareness and all net proceeds go directly to this local charity. We have hosted 11 successful events for this great cause and look forward to many more.

Our Point to Pint Ride is for cyclists who enjoy a challenging scenic ride chased by a good cold beer with 3 routes: The sampler 25 km ride, The Go big 50 km ride, and The Brag about it with the 100 km ride. The best part is much more than a fun day in the saddle. This event continues to raise money for athletes with disabilities to purchase adapted bicycles. Your efforts help local athletes purchase needed equipment so they can continue to engage in physical activity no matter their ability. Your support means that someone with a disability can overcome the financial and emotional barriers to getting active. Sport is a powerful equalizer! Ride with us and help us give that gift.

The Tour de Cure® fundraising has supported efforts to advocate on behalf of over 34 million Americans living with diabetes, fund research to bring us closer to a cure and provide resources to health care professionals and anyone impacted by this disease. Syracuse Bicycle's team is proud to have been the top contributing team for many years.

CNY DIRT is a group dedicated to protection of greater Syracuse area mountain bike trails. Syracuse Bicycle is a proud supporter of CNY DIRT, we have co-hosted events, ran raffles, and donated lots of time and money to this great organization.

We are proud to support those who support us and to make the cycling world and our local community.

Women on Wheels

Beginner Women on Wheels – affectionately known as “WOW” – is an instructional program, dedicated to teaching you how to be a more confident cyclist, including flat repair, how to shift, pedaling efficiently, even what to wear when riding. The remaining time will be occupied by riding an easy 8-12 miles.

Beginner WOW riders need to have a bicycle in good working order and must be able to ride in a straight line.

WOW is Fun!
